GLOSSARY OF COMMON COMPUTER TERMS

Note: This glossary is under construction, new terms are Coming Soon.  (Seriously, consult Wikipedia if you need a definition.  It'll likely be far more accurate that the one here!)

BBS - Bulletin Board System. What us old folks used prior to the existence of the Internet to communicate and share ideas and programs.  BBS's used dial up modems and character based terminals or terminal emulators.  This collection contains an IMSAI 8080 which was once a part of the famous Ward Christensen and Randy Suess BBS, which is widely recognized to be the very first BBS.

Coming Soon - A phase commonly used to describe a feature or function which has been thought of, but not necessarily thought through, and definitely not implemented fully in code.  Many "coming soon" features end up never actually being released.
